For years we’ve all been making lampshades beautiful with the Iron Orchid Designs Transfers. I’ve created several myself and shared techniques of layering and aging- even with the new Paint Inlays. We’ve applied Transfers on glass and windows, witnessing WHITE from the backs. By chance, I saw one such piece from outside when my lights were on INSIDE. What I noticed is I could see parts of the design and it wasn’t just white. Light Bulb Moment!!! I began testing, you know how I like to play and experiment. No more dull view looking up at that lamp from your favorite chair. No more ugly lampshades that sit up high in my shop. No more spending a fortune for a unique beautiful shade.

Next step… use leftover Transfers! I chose a nature theme with an aesthetic of being hand painted and whimsical. See the product list below to find each designs.

I love the simplicity and muted vibe of using Transfers inside the lampshade. Let me know what you think and be sure to watch until the end. I tested this application with the oldest IOD Transfers and the newest. Is there a difference?
