How to Use the Two Step Crackle System
- Paint your furniture, frame, or craft surface in your desired base color. Allow to dry completely.
- Apply one coat of Step 1 – Size. Let dry for 30 minutes.
- Thin application produces fine lines, thick application produces a wider, thicker effect
- Brush on Step 2 – Crackle. Brush direction controls the crackle pattern — curved strokes create organic, flowing cracks; straight strokes create linear patterns. Apply thicker for larger cracks, thinner for finer detail.
- Allow to dry 8–10 hours (humidity may affect dry time).
- Optional: Apply glaze, wax or pigment powders to highlight and deepen the crackle effect.
- Once glaze is dry, your project is complete — no sealer or topcoat required!
